This limited edition vinyl is Malachy Tallack's fifth album, and the musical companion to one of his novels, set on the Shetland Islands. Inspired by the circular movements of the waltz, the cover design features a kaleidoscopic image of birds in flight – a visual nod to the lyrics in one of the album’s tracks, ‘The Hurt and the Heather’.
The monochromatic cover is paired with a turquoise marbled vinyl, reminiscent of Shetland’s coastal waters. The record was pressed by Seabass Vinyl in East Lothian.
