"After nearly two decades of observing people and scrutinizing every detail, deep down, I’ve developed the rooted principle of never judging anyone." - Ari Versluis
Exactitudes is an interesting photography project by Dutch photographer Ari Versluis and profiler Ellie Uyttenbroek, documenting the dress codes of different social groups - from yupstergirls and bonkerboys to surfistas and skins. The resulting collection of images is a juxtaposition of individuality and uniformity.
The duo began Exactitudes in 1994 after Ari was commissioned by a telecoms company to create portraits capturing youth culture in Rotterdam and, more specifically The Gabbers - kids who listened to hardcore techno and dress in neon tracksuits.
